Kalandra
A functional language for parallel and distributed programming. The next chapter of Clio.
Kalandra is a new language building on ideas from Clio: a functional language for parallel and distributed programming with JavaScript interoperability.
Info
The compiler emits native JavaScript ESM and supports typed parallel execution through Bun subprocesses and browser workers. Declared records, typed data captures, and nested parallel scheduling are implemented. The verified port milestone is complete within its documented scope; the first revival release is available. Experimental authenticated Bun services support compiler-checked imports from local contracts, service chaining, and acknowledged cancellation. Install @kalandra/cli@0.13.0 from npm using Bun.
Learn by running
The language guide starts with a small program and builds up to typed parallel work. Its examples are compiled and executed in the test suite.
Work locally
Install the CLI from npm using Bun, then create and run a project. The installation page includes the current publication status and the commands for Kalandra 0.13.0.
